Maternity Photography in Edinburgh & the Scottish Borders

A Gentle Celebration of This Beautiful Chapter

You’re growing a tiny human, and this chapter deserves to be remembered. I’m Becky, a maternity photographer based in Innerleithen, welcoming families from across the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.

Your maternity session can take place in my peaceful garden studio, in the comfort of your own home or outdoors somewhere special to you. With gentle guidance and time to feel comfortable, we’ll capture natural photographs of your bump, your connection and your growing family. Partners and older children are welcome too.

What to Wear and What to Expect

You don’t need to buy a whole new outfit for your maternity photographs. Simple pieces such as a soft shirt, a comfortable dress or jeans with an open shirt can work beautifully. Cream, white and muted colours keep the attention on you and your bump.

You’re also welcome to use my client wardrobe, and we can chat about outfits before your session. If your partner or children are joining you, choose colours that sit comfortably together without needing everyone to match.

During your session, I’ll gently guide you with where to stand and what to do with your hands. We’ll take breaks whenever you need them, with time for cuddles and natural moments together.

Location Options

I’m based in Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders, just forty minutes south of Edinburgh, and I regularly photograph families from Peebles, Galashiels, Lauder and beyond.

Your maternity session can take place:

  • In my calm garden studio in Innerleithen

  • At your home for a relaxed lifestyle session

  • Outdoors, somewhere special to you, depending on the weather and your vibe

When to Book

Maternity sessions usually take place around 34 weeks, with flexibility for how you’re feeling and your circumstances.

    Booking Details

    A non-refundable session fee of £150 is required at the time of booking to secure your session. This will be deducted from the total cost of your chosen package.

    The remaining balance is due one week before your photoshoot.
