Newborn Photography in the Comfort of Your Own Home

If you are dreaming of soft, natural newborn photography without leaving your home, this is for you.

I travel across Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders, photographing relaxed in home newborn sessions that are perfect for those early days when getting out the door feels like climbing a mountain.

These sessions are slow, calm and completely baby led. I will gently guide you where needed, but mostly I will capture you just as you are, so you can look back and remember what this stage of life really felt like.

For When Staying Home Just Feels Right

Not everyone feels able, or wants to leave the house in the first few weeks of bringing a baby into the world. That’s exactly why I offer inhome sessions.

You can stay in your bubble. Wear comfy clothes. Feed when you need to. I’ll work around you and your baby, creating a space where you can breathe and just be.

What Makes Lifestyle Newborn Photography Different?

In home sessions are more organic and less styled than studio shoots. There’s no beanbag, no wrapping, and no props, just natural, heartfelt photographs in your own space.

They’re about connection, comfort and capturing your family’s story as it unfolds, your home, your baby, your everyday moments.

Missed the Early Days? No Problem

If your baby is a little older, don’t worry these sessions are flexible. Lifestyle newborn shoots don’t rely on your baby being asleep or curled up.

We can photograph your baby at any age, and sometimes it’s extra lovely when they’re a few weeks old and beginning to smile.

What to Expect

These sessions usually last 1 to 2 hours, but we’ll keep it flexible. We’ll move gently through the morning, with time for feeds, changes and whatever your baby needs.

You don’t need to have a picture-perfect home or do anything special, just be yourselves.

Where I Work

I’m based in Innerleithen and regularly travel to homes in Edinburgh, Peebles, Galashiels, Lauder, East Lothian, Midlothian and surrounding areas.
